Your safety is our highest priority. We want you to be able to travel with complete peace of mind. If you book a flight package holiday with Eliza was here, you are automatically covered by our Repatriation Guarantee.

If your plans suddenly change because of negative travel advice due to terrorism, volcanic eruption, earth quake or similar circumstances while you're travelling, we'll make sure you get home safely at no extra cost. Due to Covid-19, many trips were cancelled or shortened and we helped all our guests get home. We will continue to do so in the future. We only send guests to destinations where it is safe and secure to go on holiday, but should you be asked to return due to lockdown, state of emergency or quarantine, we will help arrange your return as soon as possible. That's our guarantee to you.

How does it work?
We will discuss the approach based on the information and the specific situation at your destination. If an immediate return is the best option, we will arrange that. If it's still possible for you to continue with your holiday in complete safety, we will advise you. Either way, we will assist you in any situation and help you celebrate your holiday safely.

Terms & Conditions for Repatriation Guarantee

  • The repatriation guarantee means that Eliza was here will arrange an alternative return flight if you can no longer return with your original flight. Eliza was here will not charge any additional costs for the new flight.

  • The cost ofa longer stay, medical expenses or other extra costs will not be covered by Eliza was here except when these costs are the result of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances that prevent the traveller from returning to the place of departure in time (max. 3 days compensation). This does not include the rental car costs or board basis. Eliza was here does not cover any costs related to being infected with Covid-19. Please check what is covered by your insurance.  

  • Our Repatriation Guarantee only covers travellers that have booked a package holiday (including a flight) with one of the brands of Sunweb Group GmbH. 

  • The Repatriation Guarantee only covers  new negative on-site conditions related to the COVID-19 virus (or measures taken against it) that did not exist at the time of your departure.

  • Repatriation dates will be communicated via an Eliza was here rep or email.You cannot request a specific time but we will take your preferences into account. 

  • You must follow our instructions and those of the (local) authorities. It is possible that the return journey can only take place after some time.

  • You have to accept our solution; there is limited space for customisation or personal wishes. You may have to fly to or from another airport and possibly with another airline. 

  • It’s possible that your travel group could be brought home on different flights. 

  • The Repatriation Guarantee does not apply in the event of death. This must be arranged through travel insurance and/or the Ministry and local authorities. 

  • Eliza was here will not refund you if you miss your repatriation flight – making it to the flight on time is the responsibility of the traveller.

  • The transfer to the airport is only included if it was also included in the original package. The conditions of the Repatriation Guarantee can be adjusted in response to developments in the travel industry. Eliza was here has the right to stop and/or change ourconditions at any time. Therefore, always check the currently applicable conditions at the time of booking.
