Over narrow winding roads, past centuries-old fig trees and through a beautiful hilly landscape, I drive to my new accommodation in Cyprus. What a wonderful place this is... Tavros Apartments is the ideal base in Cyprus if you ask me, located in the picturesque village of Neo Chorio, close to the beach and the Akamas Nature Park. Odysseus and Dora Tavros, the hosts, give me a tour of the lush garden and lead me to my apartment. Full of enthusiasm, they tell me about this beautiful island and give me all kinds of tips about the surrounding area. These lovely people are passionate about giving you an unforgettable holiday.
As we walk towards the swimming pool, we meet Andreas. Andreas Tavros tells me about his passion for gardening – no wonder the garden is so beautiful! I am so happy about this family's Cypriot hospitality... Andreas, Odysseus and Dora invite me for a snack and a drink. There are local delicacies on the table and the family tells me candidly about their passion for welcoming tourists to their accommodation. It is the love and hospitality of the family that makes this charming accommodation so unique. You don't feel like a guest here, it's more like a home away from home.
In the afternoon, I decide to go to the little harbour. Odysseus told me about the authentic harbour of Latchi, which is close to the apartments. While driving to Latchi, I pass a beautiful, quiet beach. Before driving to the little harbour, I decide to stop here and take a refreshing dip in the warm sea water. Wonderful... The harbour is exactly as Odysseus told me; picturesque and authentic. Tomorrow I will go to the nature park for a lovely walk; I am looking forward to it!
