When I drive into Tochni, I immediately understand why this village is called 'heaven on earth for artists'. I slowly drive past narrow alleys with traditional houses, flower gardens and the church of Saint Helena. And then I see the gate and the sign with ´Eveleos´ on it. I knock on the wooden door and Klea opens the gate to her little paradise. Immediately after our greeting, I glance past her. Klea knows my curious nature and smiles. "Come, I'll give you a grand tour."
Together, we walk along the terraces and the flower garden, which is divided into playful heights. Everything exudes that typical Cypriot traditional style and there is no lack of comfort either. When, a little later, I look at the hills from the veranda, the swimming pool shimmers in the sun. I wish I were an artist, then I would capture this spot on canvas forever.

I can almost smell the old stone oven when I think of this place. Andreas, the owner, likes to share his speciality, lamb with potatoes, with the guests. Perfectly cooked and deliciously spiced, typically Cypriot! Afterwards, you can ask him to make you another coffee in the traditional way. His home-made cocktail is perfect for a sultry summer evening on the terrace.
