My friend George surprises me every time he takes me to the best places on the island of Corfu. One of them is the 'Emperor's Throne'. A viewpoint named after Kaiser Wilhelm II. He thinks this is the most beautiful place on earth, and believe me, George has seen a lot of the world!

After a long walk George and I go and have a drink at a hotel near this special place. I am immediately impressed: not only do you have almost the same view as at the Emperor's Throne, it is also a thoroughly romantic spot in the middle of nature.

George knew the owner and so I got the chance to have a look around in this little paradise. Everywhere is the same friendly and relaxing atmosphere. In the rooms, in the restaurant... But the best was yet to come. Enjoying a nice glass of wine on a lounger by the pool made it complete for me. Rarely have I seen such a magnificent sunset...

The best way to discover your destination is by car!
