Mourtzanakis Residence

Although I had some trouble finding the place at first, I was now as comfortable as could be. Mourtzanakis Residence is located just outside the tiny and authentic mountain town of Achlada. The sweet owners Marcos and his wife Smaro landed there with their son Valerianos and built four luxurious guest accommodations with their own bare hands. The kindness of my host left a deep impression on me. Always a good start of a holiday on Crete!

Marcos and Smaro go the extra mile to please their guests every time. Their location was designed to offer plenty of space for guests from all over the world. The door of the guesthouse is almost always open and you will hear talking and laughter inside more often than not. I was definitely going to miss this unique, secluded meeting spot! ‘You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend’, Marcos told me on my last night there. There was no doubt in my mind that I would be returning soon!

The best way to discover your destination is by car!

Are you booking a flight holiday? Then a rental car of the lowest category (Small Class) is selected as standard for your trip and you have the option of upgrading the rental car. You can pick up the rental car at the airport and drive to your accommodation yourself.

Are you booking a holiday with own transportation? Then the rental car is not included in your trip and you can (at some destinations) book the rental car if you are interested. When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.
