I was softly rocking back and forth in a hammock. From left to right. A mild sea breeze kissed my face as the sun was tickling my bare legs. When listening closely, I could hear the waves. And even the cheerful chatter of a seagull. I opened one eye and peeped through my sunglasses. Still nobody in the pool. Which is exactly why private pools are called private! A little further ahead, the deep blue sea was calling me to jump in. The view from this patio is magnificent, especially when the sun sinks into the sea at night.
The detached villas at Anemos are surrounded by a sea of peace, quiet and space. The owner made me feel right at home in my latest villa by the sea and had prepared a thoughtful welcome gift for my arrival. The next day, I would explore the south of Crete by car. The sweet owner had told me all about the beautiful little beaches in the area. I also wanted to venture into nearby villages to find some of the delicious local honey and cheese. But for now, the hammock would do. Anemos Villas; what a place to unwind.
