Four magnificent white villas of Casa Sivota shine in the green hills of Parga, above the colourful cottages of the town of Sivota. Stavros, the owner, was waiting for me with a big smile as I got out of my car. He has travelled all over Greece his entire life but always returned to his beloved village. Looking for a reason to stay in town for as long as possible, he decided to build the villas. ‘What started as a place to stay for my friends ended up snowballing a little’, Stavros grinned with pride.
His pride is certainly justified. Casa Sivota is a dreamy little paradise. The beaming white villas boast a soft and serene interior and come with all the comfort you can wish for. The private villa features its own garden with a swimming pool and a cute pink lounger just for you.
’Come’, he said, ‘I need to show you something.’ Stavros led the way. We passed the villas and walked down the hill. That is when a delicious aroma surprised my senses: basil! Stavros showed me around his greatest pride: the garden. This is his favourite spot and I could see why: fresh mint, tomatoes, parsley and strawberries! ‘We just harvested the first ones, these are for you!’, he said and gave me a handful of blushing strawberries. I ate a strawberry and gazed at the sea, sparkling in the sunlight. Just like Stavros, I could stay here forever.
