I discovered the town of Assos on a previous trip and knew I found the most beautiful spot on Kefalonia. It was love at first sight with the vibrant village, its gorgeous bay, narrow alleys and beautiful rock art. I only had one day to spend there at the time, which ended with a phenomenal sunset at one of the cosy patios in town. I promised myself that would return one day. So by the time I set foot on the island again, my expectations were running wild. Was Assos really as beautiful as I had remembered it? Teaming with anticipation, I arrived at the majestic gate of Roi Apartments. A luxurious, small-scale apartment complex right in the town centre, painted in stylish pink with lavishly blossoming flowers wherever I looked. The promising entrance soothed my mind. And the best part was yet to come!
I was received with open arms, the apartment was magnificent and the fragrance of blossoming flowers was everywhere. What makes this location truly unique is the swimming pool with a stunning view of the beautiful Kefalonian coast. Every day that week, the magnificent panoramic view took my breath away. Time and again. Never before had a holiday felt like a week on a pink cloud like that...
