One of my favourite spots on Kefalonia is no stranger to my friend Lena; I've told her about it many, many times. And whenever I would reminisce about the detached villa, the sunny garden with its magnificent swimming pool, being pampered to the extreme by Ioanna, and the gorgeous island itself, Lena's eyes would twinkle with enthusiasm. She wanted to see for herself, so I took her to Ionian Dream Villas.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at Lena’s speechlessness when we arrived at the villa. ‘Eliza, how great to see you again!’. Ioanna welcomed us with open arms. She introduced herself to Lena and proceeded to show her around the gorgeous villa. It sure was great to be back. The spacious villa feels like a little palace, natural stone and soft colours add a cosy feel and the traditional interior with warm colours always cheers me up. What a place to enjoy life to the fullest!
After the sun had set, we sat on our porch and enjoyed the homey view of our romantically lit garden. That night, we prepared a delicious home-cooked meal on our barbecue. Completely relaxed, we listened to the soothing chirps of crickets in the garden and the crackling fire in the barbecue. The smile on Lena’s face when our eyes met, said it all. She absolutely loved it here.
