Agios Nikitas Villas

After the village of Agios Nikitas it is still 1.2 kilometres uphill to my home for this week: Agios Nikitas Villas. In other words: the twelve charming villas of my good friends Irini and Andreas!

After my arrival and an ouzo later, we decide to take a walk along their twelve domains. A little later Andreas stops. "Which one of the twelve?" Andreas smiles and I look at him questioningly. "Which one do you want to stay in?" I have no idea, I think to myself, they really are all equally beautiful. "Pick a number" and he puts his hands behind his back. I'm not sure. "Five!" and secretly I find it a bit exciting. Andreas cheers and makes a 'follow me' gesture so that I follow him even more curiously. "Myrtia, great," and he points proudly in the direction of the villa. Myrtia is one of the twelve.

When Andreas hands me the key a little later, and especially urges me to drop by for some tips in the neighbourhood, I interrupt him. "So number five was a good answer?" Andreas smiled. "All had been well!"
