Splash. As soon as I reach the top, I feel the refreshing breeze that always blows around the villas of El Camino Villas. I sit down at the side of my private pool and take a good look around me. In front of me I see nothing but olive trees and in the far distance the sea shimmers. It gives me a sense of freedom and I am alone in the world for a while. Like my house, Villa Livas, the five other villas also have a private pool and a terrace and garden for private barbecues.
When I invited owner Lamprini on my terrace for a cup of coffee this morning, she told me that she got her inspiration from the Maldives. Especially the idea of outdoor bathrooms came from there. Also, all the materials with which the villas are built, are nowhere else on the island of Lefkas to be found. Each villa has been given its own colour and name. "Based on the different known winds," Lamprini laughs.
As I think about that, I feel again the refreshing breeze here at the pool. I look at the shimmering, blue water. It invites me for another dive, so I pinch my nose and let myself fall. Splash!
