Villa Eleonas

I had just arrived at Eleonas and couldn't wait to explore the surroundings. Yiannis, the owner, told me that he can arrange the best organised hiking routes from this location. Inge had joined us. She is Dutch and co-owns Villa Eleonas. She told me about a gorgeous route that takes you through the lagoon of Gialova. With beautiful plants, birds and even reptiles. Sounds interesting!

Suddenly, Yiannis started to wave his arms enthusiastically and asked me to follow him. He wanted to show me something. As I was following him together with Inge, I admired the lovely olive and citrus trees surrounding the villas. What a beautiful and serene place. We approached the villa that would be my temporary home and what emerged was the most stunning view I had ever seen. A clear blue sea in front of us, surrounded by a palette of green colours. Magnificent! Yiannis pointed to the lagoon of Gialova. No need to go hiking, really. I could enjoy the beautiful nature straight from the pool or balcony.

I decided to spend the day unwinding by the pool and enjoying the magnificent surroundings. Plenty to see from here! I still wanted to see the lagoon up close, of course. But that would have to wait till the next day.

The best way to discover your destination is by car!
