I let my eyes feast for a moment. Just up ahead was the gorgeous Desiterra Luxury Suites. The white cottages make for a beautiful contrast with the greenery, a typical sight for Santorini. As I arrived at the reception desk, the owner Vivian was waiting for me with a smile on her face. I could not believe my eyes. The interior was stunning and I couldn't wait to see my residence.
On the way there, Vivian told me that she and her husband Dimitris had wanted to create a place where authenticity and modernity meet. They are true globetrotters but this remarkable island captivated them so much that they decided to stay and realise their dream. ‘It's so nice and cool here!’, I said as we walked into the cottage. Vivian explained that the cottage retains cool air better than usual due to its ecological build. I looked around and a sense of bliss fell over me. A stunning location with light colours and a gorgeous view that immediately ignites a holiday feeling. The interior is simple yet breathes comfort and luxury.
I was looking forward to an evening of dining out on the patio with a view of the private terrace and the sea. ‘We want to take the boat to our favourite beach in the area tomorrow morning! Do you want to come?’, Vivian asked. My big grin said it all.
