Chalkidiki is synonymous with small and pretty bays by an aqua blue sea. During my last trip, I fell for its golden beaches and diverse landscapes. I visited the beach at Vourvourou, enjoying my day surrounded by Greek locals. And Mavrobara Turtle Lake left me speechless.
I enjoy combining a number of activities when I visit the Peloponnese. From a quiet day at the beach to meandering through picturesque villages and discovering Greece's natural beauty. And if you are as much of an olive fan as I am, be sure to visit this part of the country! I tasted the best Kalamata olives ever. And don't miss the famous local historic sites: Olympia, Epidaurus and Sparta.
This is the area I keep returning to for its amazing fresh seafood straight from its harbour. Parking myself at a cute little restaurant en mixing with the locals. The waiters are full of stories of how my fish is caught! After a visit to Epirus, I always leave with a bag of tips on where to venture next.
