The island of Malta is a colourful place. From the azure sea water to the honey-colored limestone buildings and the clear blue sky, it’s always a feast for the eyes. During my Fly & Drive holiday I couldn't get enough of the beautiful sea views and I soon drove to Gozo, a neighbouring island, in my rental car.
The journey took me through Gozo’scharacteristic narrow streets and medieval villages. I stopped off, and walked through the cutest little squares, where I marvelled at all the flower-filled balconies. Exploring these islands feels like a voyage of discovery.
I visited many more places. Medina enchanted me with its medieval buildings. But the countryside of Malta also surprised me. I stayed at a charming farmhouse with the sweetest owners. I can still see myself sitting under the starry sky, savouring my glass of wine…
