The summer holidays of 2022

Looking for those first rays of sun!

For me, half the fun is in the anticipation and so it’s never too early to start dreaming of a summer holiday! Just to get you inspired we have some pictures of beautiful holiday spots and a list of my favourite accommodations in Europe. Do you already know where you’d like to spend your summer holiday in 2022 or could you use some tips? All you’ll have to do is pack the cases and I’ll make sure you can travel safely to a place far from all the crowds.

When is the summer holiday?

The summer holidays in 2022 will fall on the following dates in the UK:

  • 25 July to 2 September 2022

On holiday with the family

The children are let loose for the summer but you also need some R&R! Travel to some of Europe’s finest off-the-beaten-track destinations for some priceless peace of mind. On the Greek Islands you might find a cosy holiday home with its own shimmering pool! In Spain, treat yourself to a lovely and quiet B&B. Or in Portugal get back to nature in a property set in its beautiful countryside.

Will I see you at such a small-scale accommodation in July or August? They’re perfect for that all-important peace and quiet!

To the sun in the summer months

In Europe

In July and Augst, the sun shines full in the sky at my destinations. Spending the summer in Greece is always a good idea. How about a sun holiday on Lefkas? This island has white beaches, steep cliffs and a pristine interior. Beautiful! I can never get enough of Crete either. Every time I discover a deserted beach or a taverna with the tastiest moussaka!

There is also plenty to discover in Spain during a trip in the summer. The white mountain villages in Andalusia are really worth a visit and the golden beaches are great for a holiday by the sea. And actually you can't go home until you've enjoyed a table full of tapas and sangria.

The long coastal strip of Portugal offers many possibilities for a summer holiday. There are plenty of places to put your towel down. The varied cuisine of Portugal also has something for everyone.

Speaking of varied cuisines, I can certainly recommend Cyprus for that. Due to the mix of different cultures, you can see European, Asian and African influences in the dishes here. In addition, this island also brings many fun trips to do on the table. The same goes for the special islands of Malta and Gozo!

Closer to home, you can also take your own car to France and enjoy fresh baguettes and croissants every morning.

Last minutes for the summer holidays

If you haven't decided yet, you can always wait and book a last minute trip during the summer holidays. Who knows, there might be a nice offer for you!

If you book a car holiday, you can travel to your destination with your own transport.

If you book a flight holiday with me, it always includes accommodation and rental car!
