My heart skipped a beat when I received a card from Dutch owners Teun and Jenny. They invited me to come see their latest holiday location. A gorgeous white villa on a hill in the Algarve with a land and sea view. It was an easy decision. I have some fond memories of Casa Colibri, which is owned by the same couple. Their new creation was bound to be just as beautiful!
I had goosebumps the second I arrived. What a stunning view. I could see cosy little towns and a meandering coastline disappearing in the distance. Teun and Jenny gave me a warm welcome with delicious Portuguese wine. I wish that night had never ended. Still, it was a magnificent feeling to curl up in bed after my journey.
The next morning, I woke up to the rising sun and cheerful birds. A great start of my day. After breakfast, I got into my rental car and set out to explore. The Algarve never ceases to surprise me with its gorgeous nature. And yet, I couldn’t wait to get back and enjoy a good book by the pool. Perhaps I would give the jacuzzi a go. One thing was for sure: I would be creating some new fond memories at Villa Borboleta.

Are you booking a holiday with own transportation? Then the rental car is not included in your trip and you can (at some destinations) book the rental car if you are interested. When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.
