"I see you've discovered the donkeys", the owner of Burro Villa looked at me with a big smile. I was in the garden of my latest discovery in the Algarve where 17 donkeys were cheerfully strolling around the meadow. I patted one of the donkeys on the head and grabbed some hay from the ground to feed it.

I had arrived at the apartment the night before and felt right at home. Perhaps it was the donkeys or the rural environment. Or because of the typically Portuguese character of it all. The large green garden features a comfy swimming pool and I had spotted several little beaches from my car that morning where I was sure to have a good time in the days ahead. Burro Ville just might become my favourite spot in the Algarve, I thought. And with an enthusiastic HEE HAW, one of the donkeys seemed to agree.

The best way to discover your destination is by car!

Are you booking a flight holiday? Then a rental car of the lowest category (Small Class) is selected as standard for your trip and you have the option of upgrading the rental car. You can pick up the rental car at the airport and drive to your accommodation yourself.
