I felt so lucky for staying at yet another beautiful location! The vibrant colours of Montingo de Ouro apartments had cheerfully greeted me when I arrived. The atmospheric orange colour on the exterior of the apartments makes for a great match with the bright blue swimming pool. I couldn’t wait to get lazy with a good book. I entered the apartment to check out my temporary home.
Wow, such a homey interior. The walls boast absolutely stunning stones and handmade decorations. Atmospheric little lights are scattered around the place. The bedroom features a beautiful butterfly. And the balcony offers a gorgeous view of the pool. The private kitchen has everything you need to prepare yourself a delicious meal. But to be honest, I spent my entire holiday eating out. Plenty of cosy little restaurants in nearby towns to enjoy some grilled sardines. And when even that was too much to ask, I simply stayed in and ate at the magnificent on-site restaurant.
I spent the first day relaxing and planned to head out on day two. First, I would visit the Monchique mountain range and the Foia, the highest point of the Algarve with a magnificent view of the landscape. Another item on my schedule was the gypsy market of Quarteira where I would look for a nice souvenir to bring home. I couldn’t let my holiday pass without visiting a couple of beaches, and the town of Praia da Luz was on top of my list. After a dip in the sea, I would look for a nice restaurant to toast to my holiday and tickle my taste buds. I was in for a magnificent holiday...

When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.
