The Algarve at its best. That was my first thought when I opened the balcony door and stepped outside. I was overlooking the rolling green hills and a small strip of blue in the distance: the Atlantic Ocean. I took a few deep breaths and a sense of serenity fell over me. That is what the Algarve does to you.
That morning I woke up to nothing but the sound of chirping birds and the fragrance of jasmine. The owner, Helder, had invited me to explore the 7-hectare estate around the Quinta. We picked fruit from the trees and he took me to the vegetable garden where I got to pick my own vegetables for dinner that evening.
When we returned to Quinta do Marco with two bags full of fresh vegetables, the sun had almost set. ‘I have always dreamed of this spot, Eliza’, Helder said while pointing to the quinta in the distance. As we walked back, I could see what he had imagined as a young boy: a perfect spot in the countryside to enjoy all the goodness that the Algarve has to offer.

Do you like gardening? Quinta do Marco is just the thing for you. The Quinta has its own vegetable garden where you get to pick whatever you want. These fresh products are also used at the on-site restaurant to create their home-made Portuguese specialities.

Are you booking a flight holiday? Then a rental car of the lowest category (Small Class) is selected as standard for your trip and you have the option of upgrading the rental car. You can pick up the rental car at the airport and drive to your accommodation yourself.
