Quinta Verde Sintra

The old mansion of Quinta Verde Sintra was converted to a gorgeous little hotel back in 1998. And I was lucky enough to spend a week there. The owner, Andre, offered me some delicious wine on the patio. I took a seat and looked around. What a view! I was looking at a colourful garden with the mountains of Sintra rising up in the distance. Andre started to glow when I told him how lucky he was with such a stunning location.

I told him about my plans for the coming days and I added a lot of great ideas to my schedule. There is just so much to do and see in the area such as surfing and exploring nearby towns.

Before Andre left to welcome the next guest, he asked if I enjoy a good breakfast. He recommended a great spot in the nearby town that serves fresh traditional bread, cake, home-made jam and many other delicacies. My curiosity was triggered. Time to go to sleep and fast-forward to the next morning!
