Endless forests, impressive natural reserves and historic cities. I had arrived in the north of Portugal and was on my way to Quinta dos Moinhos. An atmospheric holiday destination built by two Dutch owners, Jose and Erik. I had met Jose in an authentic little bar in Porto during my previous trip to Portugal. After a pleasant conversation, she had invited me to Quinta dos Moinhos.
I drove for about an hour before arriving at the estate. As I got out of the car, I could not believe my eyes. So much green with vineyards wherever I looked. A big smile appeared on my face. That is when I heard my name “Eliza!â€. It was Jose who was approaching to give me a warm welcome with her two friendly dogs Face and Peperoni. "Are you hungry?" she asked. My stomach started to rumble and I nodded. "Come, I’ve got some delicious breakfast waiting for you on the patio." Wow! I felt right at home and followed Jose.
Before long, I was on the patio with Jose and her husband Erik, enjoying a lavish breakfast in the morning sun. The products were clearly fresh. Jose told me about her organic vegetable garden and how much she loves cooking. She even picks oranges from her own trees to have fresh juice every morning. "Shall I prepare you a Portuguese meal tonight, Eliza?" she asked with enthusiasm in her voice. I wasn’t going to say no to that. What a perfect place for someone who loves food and wine as much as I do. Quinta dos Moinhos surrounds you with delicacies!

Are you booking a flight holiday? Then a rental car of the lowest category (Small Class) is selected as standard for your trip and you have the option of upgrading the rental car. You can pick up the rental car at the airport and drive to your accommodation yourself.
Are you booking a holiday with own transportation? Then the rental car is not included in your trip and you can (at some destinations) book the rental car if you are interested. When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.
