Abaco Altea Apartments is my kind of place. Adeline & Thomas both studied Hotel Management in Switzerland, which is where they met. Today, they are the passionate owners of Abaco Altea. For them to be running this beautiful place together, it’s just so romantic. Thomas grew up in Altea, his parents built this magnificent hotel and he decided to return to ‘his’ Altea to help his parents sell it. Long story short, instead of getting rid of the hotel, they made it even more beautiful and expanded it from six to eighteen rooms.
And I can see why. Waking up in this place is a gift every single day. The rooms incorporate many beautiful details such as comfy pillows, cosy niches and subtle wall decoration. Their common rooms are remarkable places to spend some time as well. The wooden beams on the ceilings have been preserved just like the stone walls, beautifully incorporated into the interior. Not to mention the heavy wooden doors, absolutely stunning!
When I arrived, I was treated to a delicious glass of cava and strawberries. Rose petals were scattered on the bed. Such a warm welcome! The roof deck and patio is where you can enjoy some pampering and good food and drinks. And there is no need to search for nice places to visit in the area because Adelina & Thomas will passionately tell you everything you need to know. I visited the picturesque town of Guadalest and planned to check out Muro de Alcoy the next day. I couldn’t wait to stroll around this gorgeous little town and admire its old streets and authentic buildings.
