I drive along winding roads, past green trees and white houses, on my way to Finca las Nuevas. I hesitate to drive to the nearby village of Ãlora, where I have already tasted the most delicious tapas. But I decide to drive on, because I can't wait to see the Dutch owners and their special discovery!<
Robert and Pascalle clicked immediately, because I noticed that, like me, they have an adventurous heart. Robert and Pascalle met in Indonesia. After that, they travelled all over the world. First together and then with their children Joanne and Oek. The next step was emigration and Andalusia seemed the perfect place for it. Always lovely and warm, not too far from the Netherlands and in the midst of exceptional nature. "Finca las Nuevas was the first house we visited. We immediately fell in love with the serene peace that surrounds the house and the views of the rolling mountains with olive and almond trees", says Pascalle as we walk through the flowering garden.
The Spanish finca was renovated years ago, but all the iconic Andalusian details have been preserved: the thick white walls, the small windows and terracotta tiles. At Casa Carmen, you will even find stone vases in the ground where the olive oil used to be stored. Pascalle and Robert added a lot of cosy details that make Finca las Nuevas a colourful paradise. Tomorrow, I will put on my hiking boots and follow in the footsteps of the adventurous family, who have already explored the entire area on foot. I cannot wait to cross the Caminito del Rey bridge. The views must be wonderful here! Yes, this family awakens the adventurer in everyone.
