During my trip in Andalusia, the word "relax" is often at the top of my list. This time, I am changing course drastically: relaxation now becomes exertion. With the necessary adrenaline in my body, I have now discovered that it is actually very good to do something completely different once in a while. It gives you new energy! In the vicinity of El Chorro, I experience spectacular things in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes nature reserve. Rafael, for insiders Rafa, is the owner of El Chorro Villas, which consists of ten villas situated on a large estate. I have a beautiful villa and can of course relax here, but the surroundings are perfect for various outdoor activities. That is what makes it so exciting and challenging for me.
Rafa knows exactly which spots to show me. In the few days that I am here, my stamina is put to the test. We ride horses, go on a quad tour, go mountain biking and hiking through the beautiful nature. One moment I am surprised by the immense height of the mountains, and a few minutes later, I catch sight of gigantic rock formations. Plenty of variety! El Chorro is also the place to be for paragliding and climbing enthusiasts. I prefer to watch the paragliding from the ground, but I won't let the climbing pass me by. During the intense and strenuous ascent, I wonder if the climb will ever come to an end. My legs start to hurt, but my efforts are rewarded in the end.
Two hours later, tired but satisfied, I am standing on the mountain. From the adventure itself and the view! I feel reborn, see this trip as a victory and look at Rafa with gratitude that I may experience all this here on holiday in Andalusia...
