Hotel Rural Almazara was built in a typical Andalusian style. Just the way I like it. What a magnificent rural location. The view from the hotel is something else: I could see the sea as well as Almija and Sierra de Tejeda national parks. I had wanted to visit them for a while, and there they were, right in my backyard.
Indoors, the hotel is just as remarkable as on the outside. Every time I walked into my room, I wanted to jump for joy. It felt so homey, as if I was staying at my Spanish friends’ house. Beautiful wood, authentic tiles... things I'll never get enough of. I loved staring at the wooden beams on the ceiling from my bed at night. Always a great reminder that I was really in Spain!
I would spend an hour relaxing by the pool every day with the occasional dip in the refreshing water. And the comfy sauna was another welcome treat. The time had come to visit the Alhambra in Granada. The palace complex had been on my list for a while, so I was excited to finally see it in person. Afterwards, I would treat myself to some tasty tapas and a jug of fruity sangria on one of the picturesque patios in Granada.
