Everything I had not dared to dream of exists! That is what I thought when I drove up the driveway of Molino el Mastral. My beloved village of Tarifa lay bustling behind me on the coast, here the natural park was shining and the palms waved me a silent welcome.
This morning, my good friend Juan Carlos had picked me up to go horse riding. "Yolanda owns a finca in the middle of the Alcornocales Nature Park." And in addition to horse riding, he said, you can also stay in the finca with the old mill. It sounded too good to be true: a place where my loves converge: peace, nature and my beloved Tarifa.
And then you arrive at Molino el Mastral. The sun is high in the sky, the birds are singing and you want nothing more than to look directly into those detached white houses, the apartments and discover everything about this beautiful finca. Yolanda smiles. "Didn't Juan Carlos tell you?" I look at her questioningly. "This cottage is yours for the night." I don't quite jump in the air, but inside I do. The furnishings are atmospheric and rural, just like outside, because from the veranda I can see how the river Jara meanders through the beautiful landscape.
"And now we take off!" Juan Carlos walks into the garden. "But I have already risen to great heights here!" Oh yes, I came here to ride a horse! And what I don't know yet is this: there is a beautiful ride waiting for me on the beach with my hair in the Tarifa wind. Then I will dive into the pool here and still not be able to believe it: that it exists! Absolutely yes. And Molino el Mastral is the proof.
