Hotel Palacio Blanco

The delicious aroma of roasted meat and fresh herbs entered my nose. I decisively closed my book, left my room and set out to find the host. I found the Dutch owners Jan and his wife Christa at the modern outdoor kitchen in the garden. ‘Eliza!’, Jan exclaimed enthusiastically. ‘Have a seat!’. He pointed at the brand-new seats under some gorgeous avocado and orange trees. I sat down and while pouring me a glass of wine, Christa told me all about how they ended up here. ‘After selling our businesses in the Netherlands, we had a strong desire to set up or acquire a business together one more time. Once an entrepreneur, always an entrepreneur! Together, we set out to find our next challenge. We had only one condition: a pleasant climate.´

While presenting the first skewers, Jan added: “We walked into this hotel in the centre of the old part of the town of Velez Malaga in 2012 and it was love at first sight. The unique and vibrant location, the sweet people, the delicious food and the magnificent climate stole our hearts. Plus, it is easy to get to for our family and friends back in the Netherlands’. I started to carve up the meat on my plate and took a deep sigh. I’ll never get enough of the type of story where people follow their hearts to make their dreams come true. ‘We take pride in the luxury and comfort of our hotel rooms and cherish the relaxed atmosphere around here’, Jan concluded. ‘We want to share that atmosphere with our guests wherever they are: on the cosy patio, with the interior of our rooms, on the terrace in the garden.’ I smiled, raised my glass and said: ‘You did a magnificent job!’.

The best way to discover your destination is by car!

Are you booking a flight holiday? Then a rental car of the lowest category (Small Class) is selected as standard for your trip and you have the option of upgrading the rental car. You can pick up the rental car at the airport and drive to your accommodation yourself.

Are you booking a holiday with own transportation? Then the rental car is not included in your trip and you can (at some destinations) book the rental car if you are interested. When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.

  • The prices on this page are upgrade prices. They are indicative for your selected travel duration in the chosen season.
  • The car models shown are indicative of the category they fall into. A rental car in the Small Classe with full insurance cover is included as standard for your holiday. After booking, we will check if the chosen car is available. If it is not, we will try to offer you a suitable alternative. In exceptional cases it may happen that no rental car is available. In both cases we will contact you to discuss the options.
  • Are you the main driver? Then you must meet the minimum or maximum age requirements as stated in the car rental terms and conditions, have a credit card in your name (including PIN number) and a valid driving license.

Tip: If you are travelling with 4 or more people, it is advisable to book an upgrade or an extra car. You can select the car upgrade in the booking steps. Do you want to book an extra car? Please contact us.
