I slowly walked onto the private patio and a smile of joy appeared on my face. The sun was shining and added a gorgeous glow to the olive trees on the hill in front of me. Wow… The Swedish owners, Lasse and Bigge, sure have a stunning and soothing view here. All I could hear was the cheerful whistling of some birds nearby. You’d almost forget that this place is in the centre of a vibrant little town.
My stomach began to rumble, time for breakfast. I got dressed and went to the breakfast room. Hmm... The aroma of fresh bread, eggs and bacon tickled my nose. I sat down at a table with a magnificent view of the olive trees in the garden. That is when Bigge approached me. ‘Good morning, Eliza, how was your first night? Did you sleep well?’, she said as she placed a dish with bread and croissants and a glass of fresh orange juice in front of me. ‘Like a baby, Bigge. You guys really found a beautiful, peaceful spot here!’, She looked at me with a big smile. ‘That's great to hear, Eliza. We couldn’t be happier! If you want some yoghurt or cold cuts, check out our breakfast buffet. And don’t hesitate to ask Lasse for some eggs and bacon!’
I decided to go for some eggs with bacon, topped off with typically Andalusian grated tomato and olive oil. As I was enjoying my delicious breakfast, I considered my options for the day. There are a lot of charming little towns to visit in the area. As well as the famous cultural cities of Granada, Cordoba, Malaga and Sevilla. Or would I spend the day relaxing by the pool? Plenty of options at this quiet little paradise in the heart of vibrant Andalusia!
