I was playing cheerful Spanish music in the car while driving through some gorgeous landscapes. Suddenly, a field full of sunflowers appeared with a picturesque town in the distance. Road trips in Catalonia are the best! After about an hour's worth of quiet little roads, I arrived in a tiny little town: Espinavessa. I couldn’t resist to park my car and explore. I spotted a friendly looking lady in one of the alleys. I greeted her and she smiled. ‘Are you lost?’. I told her how much I love to wander around charming little villages. She was elated to hear that. ‘I know just the thing for you!’
Barely fifteen minutes later, I found myself on a gorgeous old farm surrounded by greenery. I was following her and listening to her enthusiastic story. About this remarkable location, which she and her husband converted into what it is today: Masia la Palma. She invited me into the cosy house and I felt at home right away. We passed a jacuzzi and a sauna in a spacious room with wooden floors. I didn’t quite know where to look. What a beautiful house! ‘The garden is the best place to cool down on warm days like today. Come!’, I followed her outside. The garden boasts a gorgeous swimming pool with super comfy loungers. ‘Your journey has ended for today, Eliza. Let me prepare a room for you’. I sighed with joy and took another look around. My day couldn’t possibly have come to a better conclusion...
