The second I arrived at Villas La Fuentita, I knew I was headed for a magnificent holiday. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking and I could see the mountains in the distance, a beautiful sight. The way the villas are situated, they make for a perfect starting point to explore the island. You can book this new location starting next season, exclusively at Eliza was here!!
It was time to check out the villa. The exterior is gorgeous with a look that is typical for the Canary Islands. The garden is great: I could see myself enjoying a sunset from the roofed patio with a good glass of wine. And the swimming pool looks perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring the island.
With raised expectations, I entered the villa. What a lovely interior! Each room is decorated with cushions, rugs, lights and picturesque bedside tables. The kitchen looks like you've walked straight into a Spanish hacienda. Clearly, the rooms have been decorated with a lot of love. They even made me a delicious cake and prepared a bottle of water for my arrival. Such a sweet little detail. I love to eat out and discover all kinds of restaurants, but I was definitely going to do some groceries at the local shop and cook myself something nice in the private kitchen.
First things first: the next day would be all about relaxing at the beach. Beautiful Las Playitas beach is just a short drive away. As is Gran Tarajal beach, so I planned to visit them both. While in Gran Tarajal, I would be sure to stroll around the typically Spanish streets and find myself a cosy restaurant by the boulevard. After all, that is what I had come to Fuerteventura for and I couldn’t wait till sunrise.
