A Balinese paradise in the Spanish sun? I could barely believe my ears. This was something I had to see for myself! Alondra Villas and Suites was waiting for me behind a large wooden door on Lanzarote. The gorgeous green garden with a swimming pool and the stylish villas and suites truly feel like you’re on an Indonesian island. At less than 5 hours from home by aeroplane!
I woke up to the aroma of fresh coffee when the sun had just started to rise. Hmm, a Spanish cup of coffee, just what I wanted. I got out of bed and followed my nose. By the time I arrived at the pool, several guests were already enjoying their breakfast in the morning sun. Pablo, one of the owners, brought me a fresh cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit. There I was... Enjoying the peace and quiet.
As I stuck my fork into a piece of melon, I took a good look around the gorgeous garden with its palm trees, colourful flowers and magnificent swimming pool. In the corner of the garden, I saw a jacuzzi surrounded by large comfortable daybeds. A perfect spot to spend the day. I could see myself dreaming away on one of the daybeds, thinking about the week of luxury awaiting me. Balinese-Spanish life is something I could definitely get used to...
