I was driving my rental car across the stunning island of Lanzarote with a big smile on my face. What a beautiful day for some adventure. I passed the most magnificent landscapes with lots of colourful flowers and the sea in the distance. I opened the window and stuck out my arm to catch the summer breeze. I turned up the radio and yelled: “Viva España!” It doesn’t get any better than this.
After a couple of kilometres, I noticed a sign indicating the exit to Macher. Curious to find out what the town has to offer, I spontaneously decided to take the exit. As I got out of the car, delicious aromas tickled my nose. I found a local restaurant where I enjoyed a delicious fish menu while overlooking the sea. I asked the waiter if he could recommend a nice place to spend the night. He told me about a unique casa in the neighbourhood. The promise of peace and quiet, privacy and luxurious pampering surrounded by nature sounded like music to my ears. Just what I needed after a day of exploration. I thanked him and got back into the car, onwards to La Casa del Medianero!
The owner Andres welcomed me with open arms. We chatted as he walked me to the residence. I couldn’t believe my eyes when we got there: ‘Wow, this place is gorgeous!’, I said. White cottages with colourful stones created an atmospheric colour palette. I wasn’t sure what the next day would bring. Perhaps a dip in the pool? Or would I pamper myself with a massage or beauty treatment? Some places leave nothing to be desired, and this is certainly one of them

Are you booking a holiday with own transportation? Then the rental car is not included in your trip and you can (at some destinations) book the rental car if you are interested. When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.
