The soft breeze in my hair reminded me how much I love islands. Where my skin is always cooled by a unique kind of wind, especially on the Balearic Islands. I was back, riding my bicycle, soaking up the Mallorcan landscape and the soothing silence around me and feeling on top of the world.
I had almost arrived at Cala Mesquida, which is where my treasure hunt was set to start. I had been told about a forest trail that leads to a hidden beach called Cala Torta. A challenge I couldn’t resist. I took a good look around and finally spotted the trail. It was best to continue on foot so I left my bike behind. After an intense but beautiful hike, the sea unfolded in front of me. What a magnificent discovery and a great place to spend a couple of hours. Gazing into the distance, I could see the neighbouring island of Menorca.
My hosts at Finca S’Estelrica had recommended this hidden gem and offered a rental bike to get there. I took them up on the offer and here I was, ready to freshen up in the sea. Back at the finca, an infinity pool was awaiting my return on the other end of my bicycle ride home, which was a comforting thought. A sea breeze caressed my wet skin. Ah, the island life. I’ll never get enough of it...

Are you booking a holiday with own transportation? Then the rental car is not included in your trip and you can (at some destinations) book the rental car if you are interested. When you book your rental car, you can pick it up at your destination and drive to your accommodation yourself. The transport to the pick-up point of the rental car is arranged by you.
