I had arrived at my holiday location the day before: Villas Nure Mar y Mar. A gorgeous villa in a vibrant residential area on Menorca. The owner, Marina, had been waiting for me with a smile. The pool looked appealing and the house was nice and cool. ‘Welcome to our comfortable little spot’, said Marina. All I could do was nod in agreement.
The villa is spacious and fully equipped. I could cook, dance around the living room and, best of all, dip into the private swimming pool. I quickly dropped my things and changed into my bikini. Nothing beats the feeling of refreshing water on my warm skin.
After a whole day by the pool, I decided to head out and explore the next day. The stunning bay of Cala´n Blanes is just a short walk away. I found a cute little beach bar there and enjoyed a refreshing drink. I could get used to the Spanish life on Menorca. The people are friendly, the island is gorgeous and the bays take your breath away. I shared my thoughts that night with the host, Marina, and she answered with a friendly laugh. ‘Holiday isn't the same thing as everyday life’, she warned me with a wink. ‘But you’re always welcome to enjoy our beautiful island. Menorca has something for everyone.’
