And when I entered the blossoming garden that contains the deep red 18th-century farm, I had a hunch that it might. That is when I saw the animals, the other guests relaxing by the pool, and it wasn’t long before I knew for sure: I would feel right at home at Agroturismo Matchani Gran.
Hidden in the countryside of Sant Climent Mahon, I spent my days enjoying the peace and quiet. I had arrived early in the morning. ‘Would you like some breakfast?’, I did. ‘Feel free to look around’, Jolanda had said.
The centuries-old farm on Menorca has a magical feel to it. Perfectly restored with Spanish arches, colours and centuries-old wood. After my round of exploration, my breakfast was ready. ‘We cook for everyone once a week’, she smiled. ‘Make yourself at home!’ Which is exactly what it feels like: coming home with a touch of Spanish charm.
